Alright, so there's the hat I made at my job. It was absolutely freezing and my job involved being outdoors almost 24/7, so I decided to make a hat out of a skirt waistband to keep me warm. My friends saw the hat and it reminded them of the hats that Hermione made for S.P.E.W. (Society for the Protection of Elvish Welfare) in the Harry Potter series, so I embroidered S.P.E.W. on the
side.I also got some free shirts that reminded me of dinosaurs for some reason, and when I went shopping the next week I found this really cool bright blue shirt for $4, so I decided to make a dinosaur shirt out of the plain one and the free ones that I got. I see a hedgehog shirt in the future using the same methods, but we' ll see...
Finally, I made a clutch out of magazines. It was super fun! I saw the idea for it online somewhere, but their design didn't leave much room for stuff inside, so I modified it and made the sides expandable with the paperbag-like folding technique. I still have to find a strap for it, but that's for another day.
